It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jessie Jernigan of Searcy, Arkansas, born in Dyess, Arkansas, who passed away on October 24, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Hurst and Nellie Sue Heffington; her sons, Gregory Jay Jernigan and Floyd Russel Jernigan, Jr.; her husbands, Floyd Russel Jernigan and Harold Dean Bennett; and her siblings, Rosemond Miller, Betty Wood, Howard and Barney Hurst.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Jernigan (Joy) of Searcy, Gary Lee Jernigan (Sue Ann) of Dardanelle, Jeffery Jernigan (Barbara) of Pocono Summit, Hal Bennett of Alabama, Barbara Barnes of Rose Bud and Shelia Bennett of Dallas, Texas; her daughter-in-law Sherri Youngman of Bald Knob; and her sister Lanell Hunt of Bryant. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
