He was predeceased by: his father Seth Slayton; and his siblings, Barbara Hearn, Kim Engle, James and Kenneth Slayton.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Sue Shands Slayton; his daughters, Stephanie Butler (Brice) and Stacy Sanders (Jerry); his grandchildren, Justin Butler (Lauren), Chelsey Roberts (Tyler), Aaron Sanders (Mary Mills) and Tori Sanders; his great grandchildren, Avriann, Adaleigh, Annastyn and Graylen; and his sister Carolyn Leehy (Glen) of Missouri. He is also survived by friends and extended family.
