We are sad to announce that on October 22, 2023, at the age of 88, Howard Wayne Norton of Searcy, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Herbert and Ila Mae Norton; his wife Jane Pearce Norton; his children, Laurie Diles (Allen), Thomas (Magaly) and Ted (Beverly); his grandchildren, Harrison Norton (Jessica), Pearce Norton, Wil Norton (Lacey), Rachel Maitland (Victor), Jordan Dean (Colin), Andrew and Luke Diles; his sister Donna Roberts (Terry); and his brother-in-law David Pearce (Barbara). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a Southern Christian Children's Home, P.O. Box 649, Morrilton, AR 72110 or World Bible School, P.O. Box 2169, Cedar Park, Texas 78630.

“I first met the Nortons on a mission trip to Brazil as a college sophomore. I got to eat some of the best chicken curry in their Brazilian home. As a young person, I was impressed they had no living room furniture, just a great game room for their kids and friends. Later, Howard was the one to conduct my interview to go work for the missionaries in Brazil. Interviewing along with me was Francille Eoff. She just texted me yesterday and commented, "That day Howard changed our lives!" True.”
