We bid farewell to Gerald Joseph Nelson Sr. of Searcy, Arkansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 21, 2025 at the age of 90. Gerald Joseph touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emily Lindner Nelson and Francis Nelson; his grandchild Vick; his siblings, Carolyn Nelson Stewart and Rudy Nelson; and his son Vick Jeffery Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Nelson of Searcy, Arkansas; his son Gerald "Jerry" Nelson Jr. (Beverly) of Hamshire; his daughter-in-law Katha Nelson; his daughter Sylvia Nelson Andel (Vince) of Beaumont; his stepson Ken Ramsey of Weiner, Arkansas.; his grandchildren, Candace Adkins (Chad) of Mont Belvieu, Gerald "Bubba" Nelson III (Autumn) of Hamshire, Maggie Neal (David) of Beaumont, Emma Nelson of Beaumont, Noah Andel of Dallas, Eli Andel of Beaumont and Elijah Nelson of Beaumont; his great grandchildren, Elise Griffin of Mont Belvieu, Walker Nelson of Hamshire, Jessa Adkins of Mont Belvieu, Hattie Nelson of Hamshire and Lucy Neal of Beaumont; his caregiver Heather; and also, Gene Stewart, Kevin Stewart, Donald Stewart, Kyle Stewart and Emily Simon.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Family and Friends Broussard's Mortuary (1605 N Major Dr, Beaumont, TX 77713). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Broussard's (1605 N Major Dr, Beaumont, TX 77713). A burial was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at the Magnolia Cemetery (2291 Pine St, Beaumont, TX 77703).
