He was predeceased by: his parents, Avery Ray and Margaret Louise Penn King of Holly Springs, Arkansas.; his wife Rebecca Joyce King; and his brothers, Harvey Ray (Blue), Samuel Lee (Booger) and David King.
He is survived by: his children, Allen King (Melissa), Stacy Georgopoulos (Pete) and Amy Altom (DJ); his mother-in-law Lula Faye Reaper; his siblings, Randolf "Randy" King (Kathy) and Loretta Vote (Jim); his grandchildren, Calvin Payne (April), Justin Payne, Ryan Payne, Christie Nicole Fraser (Anthony), Joy Michelle Lovell (Matt), Emily Renee Altom Caldwell (Shane), David Allen King (Christine), Allen Michael King and Scotty Poe; and his great grandchildren, Callen Drake Payne, Kenzie Blake Payne, Madeline King, Leia King, Chloe King, Melody Rose Payne, Clara Grace Baker, Jessie Ray Beare Caldwell, Tristan Millsap, Landon Millsap, Riley Baker, Milia Baker, Jace Baker, Alex Shelton, Madison Shelton, Alley Ray Lovell and Matt Lovell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
