With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emmett Canady (Searcy, Arkansas), born in Okemah, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 30, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Canady and Oydee Canady (Witcher); his daughter Brenda Faye Ramos; his brothers, Charles Dean and Walter Ray Canady; his granddaughters, Sierra Fayana Ramos-Jackson and Nisha Ramos; and his siblings-in-law, Clities Stokes, Eddie Stokes, Fred Witcher, Floyd Humphrey, Allen Bell, Edward Jerrett, Ray Stokes, Maebell Witcher, Margaret Bell, Jewell Jerrett and Gladys Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Canady; his daughter Diana Weaver (Louis) of Letona; his sister Freda Ellis (Charles) of Mount Ida; his great grandchildren, Austin and Jake Jackson of Paris; and his siblings-in-law, Cecil Stokes (Debbie) of Arcadia, Freddie Stokes (Muriel) of Jonesboro, Dorothy Humphrey of Pendleton, Dorothy Stokes of Fair Oaks, Wilma Stokes of Wynne and Margetta Stokes of Vicksburg, Michigan. He is also survived by 67 nephews and nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.
