It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elma Barnes (Searcy, Arkansas), born in Lamar, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 25, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Welch and Sarah Alice Welch; her husband Marvin Barnes; and her grandson Brant Barnes. She is survived by: her children, Lewis Barnes (Jana), James Barnes (Jean Ann), Brenda Webb (Tom) and Saundra Brownlee (Robert); and her grandchildren, Lori Gregory (Will), Layne Barnes (Leslie), Jason Jones (Erika), Edward Jones (Martha), Jennifer LaBar (Andrew), Adam Webb (Elizabeth), Sarah Davis (Josh), Lindsay Durham (Clay), Brandon Brownlee (Brooke) and Kirk Brownlee. She is also survived by her future husband and raised her 4 children alongside most of her siblings and her parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the White County Aging Program (Lightle Center) in Searcy can be made in the name of Elma Barnes.
