She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvis Burns and Elsie Lenderman Burns; her husband Curtis Newsom; and her daughter Sharon Hoyt. She is survived by: her son Dan (Barbara) of Searcy; and her grandchildren, Julie Mooney (Howard), Colin of Frisco, TX., Caitlin Mooney of Frisco, TX., Marvin, Pam, Michelle of Tye, CJ, Maegan, Jenna, Valerie, Ronnie and Donna. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
The family requests that any memorials be made to Crowley's Ridge College, Crowley's Ridge Academy, Children's Home of Paragould, or the Pine Knott Church of Christ Cemetery Fund.
