He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Moffitt and Bessie Clay Moffitt; and his siblings, Eloise Townsend, Arthel "Doc" Moffitt, Melvin "Mutt" Moffitt and Jewel Moffitt.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Gabe Moffitt; his children, Janet Cropley (Andy) and Mike Moffitt (Charlotte); his grandchildren, Brent Fraser (Jamie), Sarah Fraser, Autumn Fultz (Jeremy) and Whitney Deaderick (David); his great grandchildren, Zoe Fraser, Genieve Fraser, Harper Fultz and Samuel Clayton Deaderick; and his siblings, L. C. Moffitt, Orean Taylor and Mary Harris (Roger). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other family members.
