She was predeceased by: her parents, Garfield Newton and Emma Young Newton; her sons, James "Ace" Brewer and Bobby Brewer; and her grandson Orlando "Pete" Brewer.
She is survived by: her siblings, Lyncola, Bill, Walter, Jesse and Lily; her grandchildren, James Brewer (Ronda), Paula Brewer (Richard), Kevin Brewer, Andra Brewer and Aretha Winbush; and her nephews, Nathaniel Newton and Lindell Bailey. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and special friends.
