With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice Byrd of Searcy, Arkansas, born in Kensett, Arkansas, who passed away on August 18, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Coy Vernon and Clara Althy Kidd Clowers; her husband Ralph H. Byrd, Jr.; her siblings, Vernon Allen, Chester Lee Clowers and Debra Kussler; and her son Coy Logan Swan.

She is survived by: her children, Randi (Gloria Swan), Richard (Penny Bullock), Ecil "Sonny" Swan (Marita) and Ronald Mehrtens; her grandchildren, Emily, CJ, Chandler, Talor "Jo Jo" Swan, Nicholas, Tony, Dustin Bullock, Nicole Reid, Nikki Cameron, Shandin Connelly (Nicholas), Ricky Couch of Tenaya, AJ, Laryssa, Danika and Michael Moffitt; her siblings, George Edward Clowers and Kathy Martin (Mike); her nieces, Sherry Waire and Alice Clause; and her nephew Gary Glenn Clause. She is also survived by other extended family members and friends.
