She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Shumaker and Havannah Cox; her husband Carl Jimmie Austin; her son Mark Austin; her grandson Clint Austin; and her siblings, Juanita Goodwin, Thelma Allen, Arlene Gilbert, Mary Cook, Gregory Shumaker, Ezra Shumaker and Raymond Shumaker.
She is survived by: her children, Phillip Austin and Denise Caughron (Russ); and her grandchildren, Felicia Austin, Josh Murphy (Stacie), Tory Chapman (Tyler), Logan Caughron (Brittney), Anthony Austin and Margaret Austin. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Souls Harbor United Pentecostal Church (113 Slocum Rd, Calhoun, LA 71225). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
