He was predeceased by: his brothers, Bobby Chapman (Lillian), Emmett Chapman (Ramona), Carl Chapman (Paulette) and Wendell Chapman; and his brothers-in-law, Adams and Billy Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Chapman; his sons, Doug (Julie) and Ron Chapman (Shirley); his siblings, Dorothy Moore, Kathleen Adams and Donald Chapman; and his sister-in-law Mollie Chapman. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
