It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Bob Yada of Scott, Arkansas, born in Stockton, California, who passed away at the age of 85, on May 15, 2023. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Haruye Yada and Sam Yada; his wife Sarah Edwards of Little Rock, AR; his children, Gregory Yada (Kim) and Susan Yada of Fort Smith, AR; his grandchildren, Devon Yada, Kara Yada and Rachel Branek; his brother Richard Yada of Little Rock, AR; and his brother-in-law Ken Melick. He was also cherished by grand nieces, grandnephew and numerous relatives.
Following the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II, in accordance with Executive Order 9066 issued by President Roosevelt, a 4-year-old Bob and his parents, as well as 125, 284 people of Japanese descent residing within the US were forcibly relocated and shipped to 10 relocation camps across the United States.
