He is survived by: his wife Susan Maguire-Whipple; his daughter Jennifer MacDonald; his siblings, Harry Whipple (Mary), Robert Whipple (Linda), Mark Whipple (Anita), David Whipple, Lori Moutray (Peter), Beth Whipple (Chris) and Amy Borst (Mark); his mother-in-law Janice Maguire; his siblings-in-law, Kevin Maguire and Janice McNamara (Scott); and his uncle Edward Karl. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
