He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace James Hodges and Nora Lucy Hodges (Stephens); his son Horace Ray Hodges; and his siblings, Cleo, Elmo, Paul, Jarrel, James, Buel, Bradley, Marguerite Hodges and Kathryn Burnes.

He is survived by: his wife Pauline Celestia Fore of Salem, Arkansas; his daughters, Martha Foster (Bob) of Salem and Velna Everett (Curren) of Salem, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Jackie Adams (Renea), Beth Ann Adams and Andrew Foster (Melody); and his siblings, Cranford Hodges (Linda Gaye) of Bakersfield, Missouri and Virginia Ashley of Salem, Arkansas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas and the Elizabeth Cemetery.
