It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther Marie (Befort) Smoot (Salem, Arkansas), born in Ingalls, Kansas, who passed away on February 26, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Befort and Anna Befort (Klaus); her son Shelby Smoot; her grandson Gregory Smoot; and her great grandchild Sophie Smoot.
She is survived by: her children, Kelly Smoot (Kristi) of Peoria, Steve Smoot (Raeann) of Midway, Arkansas and Shelly Smoot Boyd (Adam) of Calico Rock, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Kristin Smoot Ellis (Kyle Clements), Kellyn Smoot, Kyla Robbins (Jordan), Nichele Heller (Will Brewer), Colten Smoot, Brodey Smoot (Courtney), Sidney Walters (Dylan Yeager) and Shelby Walters; and her great grandchildren, John Barker, Mark Brewer and Ivan King. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
