He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Owens and Lora Owens (Hall); and his wife Hattie Owens. He is survived by: his children, Charles Owens (Tammy) of Salem, David Owens (Lacy) of Viola, Arkansas and Lavenia Goodson (Garry) of Salem, Arkansas; his brother Boyce Owens (Mary) of Moore, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Amanda Sublett, Randi Holland (Joe), Jonathan Goodson, Jimmy Owens, Ceira Jones (Michael), Cody Owens (Ashley), Chafin Owens, Tiffany Deese, Caiden Owens, Erica Owens and Mia Owens. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
