It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William George Jackson Sr. of Russellville, Arkansas, who passed away on November 30, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Dorothy Jackson; and his wife Dorothy Mae Beavers Jackson. He is survived by: his son William George Jr.; his daughter-in-law Sharon Jackson; his daughters, Fena Mae Jackson, Bertha Mae (Anthony Oliver) and Landa (Matthew Cartlidge); and his siblings, Morris Jackson, Joyce Anderson, Cynthia Jackson-Carter, Bell Henderson and Sue Jackson-Enoch. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shinn Funeral Service (800 W Main St, Russellville, AR 72801). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ. A burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at the Reed Cemetery (1300 W 12th St, Russellville, AR 72801).
