He is survived by: his wife Mary Hughes; his siblings, JD Hughes, Linda Martin, Becky Redell, Rita Farris and Helen Warnick; his daughter Mary Hughes; his grandson Joshua Phillips; his son Jay Hughes (Carnetta); his grandchildren, Jared, Jessica Murphy, Haley Shelnut, Elizabeth Palmer and Brandon Bearden; his daughter Brenda Butler (Kim); his grandchildren, Tiffany Beck and Kyle Butler; his daughter Glenda Demmitt (Dean); his grandchildren, Yancey, Shelton and Clayton Demitt; his son James Hughes (Jeanae); and his grandchildren, Megan and Kindle Hughes.
