He was predeceased by: his parents, Hank Roetzel and Wilma Roetzel; his wife Pat; his son Deon; and his brothers, William P., Wayne and Scotty.

He is survived by: his children, Tony Roetzel (Carmen) of Haslet and Misty Roetzel of Jacksonville; his brother Jerry Roetzel of Pine Bluff; his grandchildren, Lindsey Roetzel of Euless and Blake Roetzel of Justin, Texas; and his great grandchild Zoey Edwards (Roetzel). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
