He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Homan-Herring and Eileen Homan-Herring; his brother Richard Thomas Herring; and his grandson Brock Richmond. He is survived by: his wife Vira Lou Herring (Vi); his children, David Herring (Safura Bhwandiwala) of Fairfax, Virginia, Shanda Parish of Fort Smith, Kari Herring of Barling, Ruthanna Long (Danny) of Alma, Sarah Morgan (Adrian) of Fort Smith, Nadia Alsein of Booneville and Zain Alsein of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his siblings, Joseph Andrew Herring of Prescott, Arizona and Linda Jean Wiederkehr (Al) of Altus, Arkansas; his sister-in-law Barbara Herring of Bentonville, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Austin, Hanna Long, Danielle Scholten, Haley Herring, Courtney, Rasheed Morris, Allie Lopez, Brice, Madison, Tristan, Khloe Morgan, Sulaiman and Sofia Herring; and also Bobby Collins of Van Buren. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
