He was predeceased by: his parents, Achel Palmer Oliver and Ruby Rhea Sawyer Oliver; his daughter Jane Rachelle Oliver; his parents-in-law, Mary Helen Cummins McCool and Dorris Preston McCool; and his brother-in-law James Colen Way.
He is survived by: his siblings, Martha Sue Oliver Way and Kenny Layne; his child Christy Oliver Reeves; his children-in-law, Brandon Reeves, Jason Thomas and Elizabeth Wyble Oliver; and his grandchildren, Ellen Marie Farmer, Kyra Jane Reeves, Jonathan Michael Oliver and Lucy Sawyer Reeves.
A strong believer and personal supporter of Ochsner's exceptional healthcare, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the William A. Oliver Cardiology Fund at Ochsner Baton Rouge.
