He is survived by: his pet Sophie; his wife Penni Boyd Benton of Rose Bud; his children, Joseph "Barry" Benton, III (Brianna) of Rose Bud, Bryan Carl Benton (Kristal) of Vilonia and Christopher Lee Benton of Quitman; and his brother Tim Benton (Pauletta) of Conway. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
