He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Dawson; his former wife Louise Dawson; his brother Keith Dawson; and his son Jerry Dale Dawson. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Dawson; his children, Sherry Ann Chitty (Don) and Matthew Dawson; his stepchildren, Trisha Rodgers and Dewie Rodgers (Melissa); his stepgrandsons, Matt Rodgers (Emily) and Dylan Rodgers; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Eli Rodgers, Adah Rodgers and Josiah Rodgers.
