He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Snipes and Ethel Snipes. He is survived by: his close friend Jerry Hoyle; his wife Debbie Snipes; his son Barry (Barakah Bennett); his grandson Jonah; and his godchildren, Shayla and Sierra Crawford.
