In the vast expanse of eternity, Lawanda shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Lawanda farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nathan Rodgers and Ella Mae Andrews Rodgers; and her brother Bobby Rodgers. She is survived by: her husband Clifford Eugene McElroy; and her children, Carolyn McElroy Mitchell, Mark McElroy (Teresia) and Lisa Jones of Tillar. She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Griffin Funeral Home (109 Brasfield St, Dumas, AR 71639). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the McGehee Church of Christ (501 N 3rd St, McGehee, AR 71654). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at the Jefferson Cemetery.
