She was predeceased by: her parents, George Byers and Jewell Simmons Byers; her husband Elwyn "Winn" Smith; and her daughter Beverly Lietz. She is survived by: her daughter Clarissa Ryan; her sisters, Judy Deatherage and Ann Haggard; and her grandchildren, Brian and Cora Lietz.
