He was predeceased by: his parents, Morene W. Scherz and Virgil O. Scherz. He is survived by: his brothers, Marvin Scherz of Rogers and Scott Scherz (Connie) of Little Rock, Arkansas; his children, Deborah Scherz (Diana), Blake Scherz of Southaven and Michele Scherz (Jason Carl) of West Hartford, Connecticut; and his granddaughters, Hannah Scherz, Brooklyn Baylor and Nola Bee Baylor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family has asked that in memoriam donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
