He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Warden and Ann Warden (Johnson); his wife Muriel Warden (Lind); and his brother Dean Warden. He is survived by: his children, James Warden (Candace) of Stanchfield, Minnesota, Laurie Lopez (Andres) of Centerton and Amy Wachtel (Eric) of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be designated to Alzheimer's disease research at Mayo Clinic.
