He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Lynn Gavin and Jane Carr Gavin; his wife Joan Mercer Gavin; and his sister Ruby Lynn Lowry. He is survived by: his sons, Thomas Collins Gavin and Jerry Lynn Gavin; and his sister Ora M. Gannaway. He is also survived by his niece and nephews.
