He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rufus Thomas and Ruth Marks Buie; his wife Carole S. Doty; his sons, Rufus T. "Tee" Buie, III (Christina Boyd) of Almyra and Brent Marks Buie (Cara Beth) of Ruston, Louisiana.; his brother Billy George Buie (Mary Harvill Buie) of Rison; his nephew Matt Buie (Jennifer Owens Buie) of Little Rock; and his nieces, Lydia Norton (Gene Norton) of Rison and Sarah Buie of Rison.
