With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Myrtle Mae Herrington (Rison, Arkansas), who passed away on November 4, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Puckett and Annie Lou Dixon Puckett; her brother Levon Puckett; and her husband George Herrington. She is survived by: her children, Rita Shirey of Star City, Brenda Pope (Eddie) of Sheridan and Wayne Herrington (Kristy) of Macedonia; her grandchildren, Lori Shirey, Jeremy Shirey (Jessica), Blake Pope (Shannon), Josh Pope, Brooke Harvey (Kirk) and Shelby Boothe (Tucker); her great grandchildren, Cesilee, Hunter, Hayden, Hudson, Landen, Maddie, River, Ridge, Audrey and Erin; her sister Faye Rains (Charlie); and her sister-in-law Myra Puckett. She is also survived by her husband, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Buie Funeral Home- Rison (302 Main St, Rison, AR 71665). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church (7370 AR-35, Rison, AR 71665).
