He was predeceased by: his father George Hardy Carter, Sr.; and his siblings, George Hardy Carter, Jr., Doris Butler, Motier Vanlandingham, Ruth Pate and Clara Carroll.

He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Jean Carter of Levering, MI; and his close friend Carol Hastings of Pine Bluff. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
