It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David D. Guffy Sr. of Rison, Arkansas, born in Hailey, Idaho, who passed away on October 10, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Guffy, Sr. and Mazie Rodgers; his wife Mary Guffy of Virginia; his children, David Guffy, Jr., Lisa Hoover Couch and Bryan Hoover; his siblings, Paul Davis, J. M. Guffy, Howard Guffey, Adam Burchett and Eva Lou Burchett; and his pets, Soxy and Big Kitty.
He is survived by: his daughter Konnie Martin (Damon) of Alamosa, CO.; his sister Joyce Rhodes of Sheridan; his grandchildren, Emily Barnes (Blake) of White Hall, William Guffy (Cheyenne) of Sheridan, Lauren Masterson (Kyle) of Colorado, Tanner Martin (Jayme) of Colorado, Bryan Hoover (Amanda) of Alabama, Karla Hoover of Florida and Benjamin Couch of Georgia; and his great grandchildren, Lawson, Greenlee, Lane Barnes, Gentry Masterson, Rayden and Elyjah Hoover.
