He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman C. Hyatt, Sr. and Clarice "Redtop" Holderfield; and his brothers, Elbert Hyatt, Herman Hyatt, Jr. and Havis Hyatt.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Nell Hyatt; his children, Barbie Kay McAfee (Scott) and Bobby Ray Hyatt, Jr. (Karen); his sisters, Mary Frances Wells and Opal Charlene Bond; and his grandchildren, Scott Edward Hyatt McAfee II (Lauren Nalezny), William Harmon Hyatt McAfee, Ashlyn Reagan Hyatt, Brooklyn Auburn Hyatt and Caitlyn Eden Hyatt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
