He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Edwards (Tommy) and Michael Thomas (Karen); his grandchildren, Jamie Wyatt, Jeremy Edwards, Alvin Lloyd Smith III, Amie Smith, Dana Nowlin, Justine Schumacher, Mitch Thomas and Miranda Thomas; his great grandchildren, Hayden Edwards, Jayden Smith, Blakely Cook, Rileigh Brewer, Cooper Wyatt, McKenna Edwards, Wyatt Smith and Evelyn Schumacher; and his siblings, Clinton Smith and Ruthan Mezaros.
