He is survived by: his wife Susan B. Hunter Turner of Redfield, Arkansas; his father Samuel Turner, Jr.; his stepmother Sharon B. Turner of Memphis; his sons, Bohanon of Virginia, Samuel Turner, IV of San Antonio and Aaron Turner of Redwood; and his sisters, Ruth E. Turner Hicks of Memphis and Lelia M. F. Turner.
