He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Bass McClain; his children, Joe McClain, II, Patricia Baker (Scott) and Becky Kent; his grandchildren, Allen Akines (Courtland), Johnny Kearney, James Kearney, Emily Kearney, Stephanie Gay (Chris) and Frances Kearney; his great grandchildren, Courbin Akines, Victoria James and Olivia Gay; and his son-in-law Glen Akines. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
