She was predeceased by: her father Terry Monson; and her former husband Dave Hathaway. She is survived by: her husband David Phillips; her children, Andrew Phillips and Jessica McClure (Justin); her grandsons, Gabe and Matt McClure; her mother Karen Stoddart; and her sisters, Debbie Glass (Michael) and Lisa Bateman (Aaron).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to your local animal shelter or the SPCA in Barbara's memory.
