It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Taffar of Ravenden, Arkansas, born in Caulfield, Missouri, who passed away on May 19, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Walter and Lina Leora Bennett Taffar; his siblings, William Ray Dean Taffar, Bearl Taffar, Mary Jewell Whitener, Sybil Josephine Hallmark, Vivian Faye Upton and Shirley Pauline Upton; and his granddaughter Jennifer Lee Taffar Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Sanders Taffar; his children, Mearline Taffar Norman (Jim) of Tampa, FL, Ina Leora Taffar Cohn (Rick) of Monette, AR, Juanita Loraine Taffar Comstock of Ravenden, AR and Henry Mearl Lee Taffar (Retha) of Branson, MO; his grandchildren, Billy Joe Comstock of Ravenden, Josh Longmire of Jonesboro, Lane Cohn of Jonesboro, Ashton Raney of Myrtle, MO, Terry Wayne Hall of West Memphis, AR, Crystal Masters of Pocahontas, AR, Christal Jean Taffar Haueter of Lebanon, MO and Tahya Taffar Rose of Branson, MO; his great grandchildren, Jackson Longmire, Dakota, Devon, Shelby, Dylan Comstock, Jaxon, Neveah, Zaiden Smith, Andrew, Noah Clark, Tyler, Chase Hall, Paige Hall, Tyson Masters, Ryan Raney and Trenton Houltzhouser; and his brother Vearl Gene Taffar of Peoria, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
