He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Herrin and Lela Mae Herrin (Hollis); his grandson Patrick Herrin; his parents-in-law, Andy and Bertie Berry; and his brothers, Vernon Kott and Randall Springfield.
He is survived by: his wife Glinda Herrin; his sons, Michael Herrin II and Timothy Herrin; and his sisters, Lisa (Kenneth Brister), Brenda Love and Carolyn Lewis. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
