He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Hooten and Cleo Hooten; his wife Maurine Wilterding; his children, Gary Hooten (Hollye) of Muleshoe, Lary Hooten (Wanda) of Dallas, Texas and Gayla Gear (Joe) of Muleshoe, Texas; his sister Juanita Barefoot of Meza, Arizona; his grandchildren, Daniel, Heather Boyd (Hooten) of Celina, Charles, Amy Turner (Hooten) of Lubbock, Cade, Kyla Hooten of Texico, James, Twyla Polasek (Gear) of Ropesville, Tyrel, Courtney Gear of Celina and Annick Magermans of Luxembourg; and his great grandchildren, Kenna, Dane, Kamryn Boyd, Abbye, Anson, Audrey Turner, Hallye, Hayden Hooten, Mikayla, Lane, Kody, Cole Polasek, Brooks Gear and Gwenaelle Magermans. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
