It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Southerland of Quitman, Arkansas, who passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan Southerland to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Harold Gresham and Muriel Elaine Gresham (Pettus); and her brothers, Lewis Wayne Gresham and Roland Harold Gresham. She is survived by: her husband Arnold Joe Southerland; her children, Joanna Whitlatch (Jeff) of Jonesboro, AR, Janna Maxwell (Jim) of Jonesboro, AR and Jay Southerland (Stephanie) of Little Rock, AR.; her grandchildren, Collin, Carter, Olivia Whitlatch, Kendall Martin (Will), Gresham Maxwell, Addison, Parker and Halle Southerland; her sister Elaine Ward (Steve); and her sister-in-law Pat Gresham. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home (650 Central Landing Blvd, Conway, AR 72032). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Palestine Baptist Church, Quitman or a charity of your choice.
