Victor H Chapman wrote a sympathy message

“When Steve and family took over the "Fish Bowl", my wife Betty and I were among the first customers .. We pastored Hopewell Baptist Church .. That started a deep friendship .. Steve and I talked of church, belief, and the world's problems (we never did get them straight) .. Steve always had a kind word and I had to try whatever was his new creation .. He is missed by all who knew him ... (For a child of God) - This is Not the End - It's Only the Beginning ! - We will meet again … God Bless !”

Juanita Buckley wrote a sympathy message

“So sorry to hear of your loss. It is our loss also. Steve was a good man and enjoyed hunting of all kinds. My son & i were your customers for years. Steve and my son always talked about hunting when we were there. We really appreciated the service we always got at the restaurant. We miss you there. Lindsey is doing a good job of carrying on the good service & good food. We loved your whole family. He will be missed.”
