It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Jean Askew of Prescott, Arkansas, who passed away on December 13, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Allie McWhorter and Ruby Batey McWhorter; her husband Rufus Askew; and her children, Donald Dwight, Deborah Jean Askew and Cheryle Roxann Cornelius.

She is survived by: her son David Askew (Carol) of Prescott; and her brother Jack McWhorter (Judith). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
