He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Fitzhugh and Esma Fitzhugh Sr.; and his siblings, Billy Fitzhugh, Virginia Garner and Barbara Whiesenhunt.
He is survived by: his wife Wava Fitzhugh of Prescott, AR; his children, Lyle "Buddy" Fitzhugh (Bennie) of Fouke, AR and Ladonna Fitzhugh of Prescott, AR; and his grandchildren, Kimberly Carlton (Kevin) of Prescott, AR, Chase Fitzhugh (Aspen) of Haskell, AR and Ben Mitchell (Susan) of Prescott, AR. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
