He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Hurd and Audra Davidson Burns; his sister Rosemary Burns; his great grandchild Knoxton Smillie; and his stepfather Harold Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Dew Hurd; his children, Carl Hurd (Melissa) of Hope, AR, Daniel Hurd of Lakeland, FL, Mike Hurd (Nona) of Ashdown, AR., Buddy Hurd of Prescott, AR, Dawnna Bird (Todd) of Lakeland, FL and Barry Hurd (Amber) of Prescott, AR.; and his siblings, Judy Holbrook (Paul) of Hillsboro, OH and Wayne Burns (Karen) of Lee, FL. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
