He is survived by: his wife Martha Lou Thurman; his children, Michael Thurman (Julie), Melodie Thurman, Patricia Amburgey (Rick) and Jerry Thurman; and his grandchildren, Chris Musteen, Nicholas Musteen, Allison Musteen, Jordan Thurman, Sierra Nunziato (Vincent), Thomas Thurman (Amy) and Michelle Thurman (Tobi). He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
