He was predeceased by: his parents, Matt Mitchell and Jean Mitchell (Skinner); and his sisters, Helen Carroll, Lois Shirley, JoAnne Brown, Debbie Whitworth and Sandra Fortuna.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Mitchell; his children, Larry Mitchell Jr. (Jackie) of Ardmore, Billy Mitchell (Ellie) of Monterey, Jeremy Holmes (Misty) of Hanna, Oklahoma and Kara Bryan (Dirk) of Springdale, Arkansas; his brothers, Ronnie Mitchell (Rita) of Antlers, Jerry Mitchell of Valliant, Michael Mitchell of Kingston and Kenneth Beck (Gina) of Emory, Texas; and his grandchildren, John, Elle, Nixon, Truitt, Jude Mitchell, Lane, Cooper Holmes and Dirk Bryan II. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
